Brookfield Zoo offering free entry on most days in January and February, with few exceptions

You can get a glimpse of Brookfield Zoo’s 3,400 animals — including polar bear, wolves, giraffes and many more — without paying a penny this winter.

The suburban zoo has expanded its winter free days, giving visitors plenty of chances to stop by without paying admission. If you’re looking for budget-friendly activities ahead of Christmas, you are in luck.

    Two free days are left in 2025: Monday, Dec. 22 and Tuesday, Dec. 23.

    But if you can’t make it then, don’t worry. Many more free admission opportunities are coming next year.

    Winter free days get underway again on Jan. 5 and don’t end until Feb. 28, giving visitors plenty of chances to stop by. There are only two exceptions – paid admission will be required on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is Monday Jan. 19 and President’s Day, which falls on Monday, Feb. 16.
