“The communication that we have between me and him, is pretty big,” Davis said. “We got to know what he’s going to do to the two, he’s going to kick them out or wrap him. So Reggie’s been huge in just in that department in terms of special teams and returning.”
And to the other side of the ball. Reggie is a key focal point in the league’s best rushing offense, as the Bills are boasting 158 yards per contest right now.
“The run game that we had, so much of it is because of what Reggie Gilliam has been able to do,” Brady said.
And so Gilliam is the guy who does the stuff that goes unnoticed that’s now getting noticed. And no, he doesn’t mind.
“I mean, that’s huge. Just because being All-Pro selected for any position is a great honor, but for a position that’s, quote unquote, a dying breed. It’s even more, more, honorable just being recognized as one of the best of the few left,” Gilliam said.
All-Pro selections are voted on after the regular season, but for the time being, the praise of his coaches and teammates is sound consolation for Reggie Gilliam.
