Aerosmith Founding Members New Rock Band Announces More Tour Dates, With Album Coming

Aerosmith's rock star bassist is heading out on tour again — but this time, it's not with the legendary band he co-founded 55 years ago.

Tom Hamilton is part of the newly formed Close Enemies, also a decorated group that includes vocalist Chasen Hampton, guitarists Trace Foster (Hamilton's longtime bass tech in Aerosmith), Peter Stroud (Sheryl Crow) and drummer Tony Brock (The Babys, Rod Stewart).

Close Enemies has been performing throughout 2025 and began announcing 2026 tour dates last month for shows in California. The rock band will also jam out in Florida during January of next year, with additional shows expected to be revealed, according to its website.

Close Enemies will reportedly play some fan-favorites from the past during their upcoming concerts, including the occasional Aerosmith hit.

"As far I'm concerned, ethically, it had to be songs that I had co-written. It's not like we're going to get up there and play 'Walk This Way,' 'Dream On' [and songs like that]." he told Ultimate Classic Rock in 2024. "[But] 'Sick as a Dog,' I've been dying to play that song live for so long. I was having trouble getting the guys in Aerosmith to put it in the set. I realized, 'Alright, this is my chance! Now I get to hear that song on stage again.'"

And after releasing five singles thus far, the group also has a new album coming in 2026, tentatively set for March, according to UCR. For a breakdown of the music released thus far, visit here.

Hamilton's O.G. band made headlines earlier this month when Aerosmith and YUNGBLUD released a new take on their song "Wild Woman" with Lainey Wilson's help. Titled “Wild Woman (Lainey Wilson Version),” the country star’s remix leans more into her bold vocals and country style, adding more to the bluesy, rock track.
