The cruise line recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, marking the debut of a project it’s been teasing for years—and signaling a new approach to the Nassau port day.
The 17-acre beach club, located on Paradise Island just minutes from the cruise port, is Royal Caribbean’s first in its new Royal Beach Club Collection. Unlike ships' private islands, access has to be booked in advance and capacity is capped, so the experience feels more like an excursion or an alternative to wandering downtown Nassau or staying onboard.
Guests arrive via custom-built ferries designed specifically for the beach club, a detail Royal has emphasized as part of making the transition from ship to shore feel seamless. At the opposite end is Chill Beach, which caters to guests looking for a calmer experience, with loungers facing the water, live music that skews mellow and a deep-end pool with a swim-up bar. A third area, Family Beach, rounds out the layout with a shallow-entry pool and family-focused spaces; Royal Caribbean says it’s expected to be open as part of the official launch.
