Royal Caribbean’s Long-Awaited Beach Club Is Officially Open

After months of anticipation, Royal Caribbean's officially opened its newest private destination. The cruise line recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, marking the debut of a project it’s been teasing for years—and signaling a new approach to the Nassau port day.

The 17-acre beach club, located on Paradise Island just minutes from the cruise port, is Royal Caribbean’s first in its new Royal Beach Club Collection. Unlike ships' private islands, access has to be booked in advance and capacity is capped, so the experience feels more like an excursion or an alternative to wandering downtown Nassau or staying onboard.

Guests arrive via custom-built ferries designed specifically for the beach club, a detail Royal has emphasized as part of making the transition from ship to shore feel seamless. Early visitors say the handoff is quick and intentionally part of the experience. As Cruise Critic noted during a pre-opening visit, guests “walked not even five minutes” from the ship before boarding ferries that run continuously throughout the day.

Once on the island, the club is divided into three zones designed for different travel styles. Party Cove is the most energetic area, anchored by a massive swim-up bar and a floating, two-story Flamingo structure that’s visible from across the property. Cruise Critic described it as “the beating heart of the beach club,” highlighting Royal Caribbean's intention to provide a high-energy option for cruisers who want more than a quiet beach day.

At the opposite end is Chill Beach, which caters to guests looking for a calmer experience, with loungers facing the water, live music that skews mellow and a deep-end pool with a swim-up bar. A third area, Family Beach, rounds out the layout with a shallow-entry pool and family-focused spaces; Royal Caribbean says it’s expected to be open as part of the official launch.

Food is included with all passes and seems to be casual and familiar, while drinks include non-alcoholic or unlimited-alcohol options.

Since passes are limited, early observers have already cautioned that popular sailings could sell out quickly.

With the ribbon officially cut, cruisers now have a clear new option in one of the Caribbean's busiest cruise ports—and one that already looks designed to be a fun, easy, all-day escape.
