Great news, Swifties: Another two installments of the Disney+ docuseries, Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, has officially hit the Disney streaming service on Friday, December 19. And in even better news, Taylor has announced that, as an early Christmas present for fans, you won't have to wait until next Friday, December 26 for the last two episodes of the doc; instead, the final editions will be available to stream beginning Tuesday, December 23.
The six-part series gives diehard Taylor Swift fans a behind-the-scenes look into what it took to create one of the biggest stage experiences in recent memory, The Eras Tour, one that spanned five continents, 21 countries and a whopping 149 concerts.
And to make all of that happen, Swift needed a little help from her (frequently very famous) friends, including fellow pop performers like Sabrina Carpenter and Gracie Abrams, her dedicated choreographer Mandy Moore and Eras Tour backup dancers, and her close family and friends, including fiancé Travis Kelce. (The latter, especially, is involved in this latest batch of episodes.)
Here are five things we’ve learned from Taylor Swift: The End of an Era, episodes 3 and 4.

5 Things We Learned from Episodes 3 and 4 of Taylor Swift’s Docuseries
1. How Travis Kelce's surprise onstage cameo at Wembley Stadium came about
Swift fans were already used to seeing Swift's football-playing beau out in the concert crowds to support his pop-star love during her Eras Tour gigs, but got a pretty major surprise at the June 23, 2024 show at London's Wembley Stadium when Kelce popped up onstage for a spirited dance to “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
“I can’t remember how it came up,” Taylor shares. “I think we were just joking around about [Travis] doing it, like him going up there with [dancer Kam Saunders], and it became very clear that he, like, wasn’t joking.”
Sporting a top hat and black tuxedo, Kelce performed choreography (including fanning and lifting the singer) during the show's Tortured Poets Department set, much to the rabid screams of the excited audience. (“I can safely say that was the loudest it ever got on the Eras Tour,” Taylor declares.) The new eps feature footage of Travis rehearsing the bit as well as sweetly waiting for Taylor backstage.

Before the rest of the world was rooting on their romance, Taylor's mom Andrea Swiftwas an especially early-days supporter of her daughter's burgeoning connection with the NFL star. In episode four, the elder Swift recounts her first meeting with her soon-to-be son-in-law.
“I’m looking at the headlines and perusing around what’s on the internet, and I see that this guy came to your show and he brought a friendship bracelet and wants to meet you,” Andrea tells Taylor in the ep. “And so, of course, I call up my resident expert on [the] Kansas City Chiefs, my cousin Robin, and I go, ‘Tell me about this guy named Travis Kelce. And she goes, ‘Oh, my God. He’s the nicest guy. And you know what? He really loves his mom.’ And I went, ‘Ding, ding, ding, ding.’ Then I said, ‘Now, how in the world am I gonna get her to meet him or whatever?’”
She particularly liked Kelce's sweet shout-out of Swift on his New Heights podcast. “Listen, it was so earnest,” Andrea says. “I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world that he came to your show. He brought you something from your world. To me, that really said a lot. I thought that was really sweet and I liked it.”
3. How Taylor navigated those insanely fast (and sometimes dangerous) costume changes

To visually signify the various time periods of the Eras Tour, Swift undergoes about 20 quick changes throughout her three-hour show, the logistics of which are laid out in the new eps. “Every outfit change is about a minute and 15 [seconds] or less,” dresser Jestina O’Dell explains in episode 3. “Our fastest quick-change though is 39 seconds with her in the room.”
“There were moments where I thought, ‘I don’t know if these costume changes are gonna happen in time,’” Taylor admits in the doc. “I’m only off the stage for a maximum of two minutes at a time. … You have no idea the panic of worrying you’re not gonna be dressed in time for the song to start.”
That pace and pressure of those quick changes have resulted in injuries for the performer. “One time, I tripped over the hem of my dress, skidded the palm of my hand off,” Swift says, but proudly added that she "wasn't late" for hitting her stage cue.

4. How Eras Tour helped Taylor move on from her break-ups with Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy
Prior to her current relationship with Travis Kelce, Taylor dated British actorJoe Alwyn for more than six years, until their split in early 2023. She also briefly was romantically entangled with 1975 frontman Matty Healy shortly thereafter.
In the doc's latest editions, Swift divulges how writing her album The Tortured Poets Department while on the Eras Tour was a therapeutic practice for her and helped her get over her heartbreak over those relationships' ends.
“Tortured Poets album is like this purge of just, like, everything, everything bad that I felt for two years,” she shares in episode 4. “It was a really rough time in my life, so the songs reflect that. Feeling like I’m not a person, I’m just this, like, big conglomerate that no one sees as a real human being, and especially not men that I date. And in the whole process just being like, ‘Nothing works, there’s no one for me in the world.’”
“There were points in this tour when the tour was the only thing that was really keeping me going in my life,” she continues. “But there were never points in the tour when I thought, ‘Oh, you know what? I want to quit the tour ’cause the tour’s hard.’ No, my personal life was hard. I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour, and that’s a lot of breakups actually. The show was what gave me purpose and was what I could use to get me out of bed. So, the tour has never been the hard thing in my life. The tour has been the thing that has allowed me to find purpose outside of the s*** that was going on in my life. Men will let you down, The Eras Tour never will.”

5. How Taylor managed to convince Sabrina Carpenter to do that big duet during her day off
Arguably, the only blonde pop star as busy as Taylor Swift these days is Sabrina Carpenter, who was traveling the world with her successful Short n' Sweet Tour. However, Carpenter sent word to her pal Taylor that she had plans to attend the latter's Eras Tour gig in New Orleans during her day off from her own "Espresso"-promoting concert run.
Swift, however, put out a request for Carpenter to join her onstage for a surprise set of songs, just one of the iconic celebrity cameos that Eras Tour became known for. (Florence Welch, Ed Sheeran, Maren Morris and Haim are just a few of the big names who joined Taylor onstage during the tour.)
“I was like, ‘Is this, like, child abuse for me to even ask her on her one day off?’” Taylor joked. “I know she’s, like, 25, but still.” Sabrina said yes, naturally, and the pop powerhouses joined forces at NOLA's Caesar Superdome for a special acoustic mashup of Sabrina's "Espresso," "Please Please Please," and Swift's "Is It Over Now?" from 1989 (Taylor's Version).
