5 Freeway through Grapevine is under a flood watch which was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 1:29 p.m. The watch is valid from Tuesday 4 p.m. until Friday Dec. 26, at 4 p.m.
The NWS Hanford CA said, “Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.”
“Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded,” the NWS said. “You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.”
