Popular '90s boy band Jodeci is bringing their iconic sound back home to the place it all started.
The R&B group announced they're set to put on a special homecoming show in Charlotte, N.C., next spring, in the city where they originally formed in the late 1980s.
The singers—made up of brothers Cedric “K-Ci” and Joel “JoJo” Hailey, along with Donald “DeVanté Swing” and Dalvin “Mr. Dalvin” DeGrate—are heading to Ovens Auditorium on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Tickets to the musical event go on sale on Friday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. ET.
The news comes after the group played a limited Las Vegas residency last year for several dates in March and July. Additionally, the "Forever My Lady" crooners have seven more tour dates on the calendar for 2026, kicking things off in Indiana on Jan. 16. They'll hit Los Angeles, Calif., Brooklyn, N. Y., Atlantic City, N. J., and more cities across the US.
Fans on Instagram showed excitement for the concert series, dropping into the comments section of an announcement post to react with sentiments like, "I HAVE TO GO!" "WHOOYEAH," "Mark your calendar!" and "not a drill!!"
Jodeci's Early Music Success
Jodeci rose to major prominence in the early 1990s as one of the most influential R&B groups of their era, blending gospel-rooted vocals with a raw, streetwise edge that reshaped contemporary R&B.
Their 1991 debut album, Forever My Lady, became a massive success, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earning multi-platinum certification. The album produced several signature hits, including the title track “Forever My Lady,” “Come and Talk to Me,” and “Stay,” all of which became staples of ’90s R&B radio.
Jodeci continued that momentum with Diary of a Mad Band (1993), which also topped the R&B charts and delivered major hits such as “Cry for You” and “Feenin’.”
The group’s commercial peak continued with The Show, The After Party, The Hotel (1995), a chart-topping, multi-platinum album that featured one of their most enduring songs, “Freek’n You,” which crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100 and became an international hit.
