IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The St. Paul Boulevard Fire District is hosting a public walkthrough on Thursday at 6 p.m. of facilities while showing conceptual designs for a newly proposed firehouse project.
The total cost of the project could be nearly $22 million, that would raise taxes in the town about $130 per household, annually.
The meeting will provide an overview of the new project’s purpose and anticipated enhancements to emergency response, additionally modernizing the current facility.
This comes after the current status of the station, which does not meet national safety standards. For instance, the staffing has grown at the fire district over time, leading to an insufficient amount of space.
The town does say a long-term energy maintenance savings and emergency responses would be improved in doing so.
