GREELEY — Aims Community College has sworn in new and reelected members of its Board of Trustees.
Marilyn Schock, representing District C, is a re-elected member. New members are Rhonda Solis in District D and Marcella Mieczkowski in District E.
Schock, who will retire from her role as president of UCHealth Greeley Hospital next year, will continue to chair the Aims board.
Solis, a Greeley resident, served two terms on the Greeley-Evans School Board and two years on the Colorado Board of Education. She co-chairs Greeley Demands Better, the citizens’ whose petition drive placed an item on the Feb. 24 special-election ballot asking Greeley voters whether to repeal city-approved zoning for the Cascadia and Catalyst developments.
Mieczkowski is a retired teacher and small-business owner. She spent three years teaching overseas at Shandong International High School in Jinan, China.
Two existing board members, Jeannine Truswell and Heidi Windell, will serve as board secretary and treasurer, respectively.
Outgoing board members include Dr. Gene O’Hara and Cristóbal (Chris) Garcia.
