Dancing With The Stars season 34 champion Robert Irwin is finally sharing his version of Val Chmerkovskiy's viral dance move.
In a TikTok shared on Wednesday, Dec. 17, the wildlife conservationist shared never-before-seen BTS footage from the show's "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night." During that episode, Irwin and his professional partner Witney Carson performed a Paso Doble to “Icky Thump” by The White Stripes — earning a 38/40 points.
In the clip, fans can see Irwin practicing his knee walks shortly before the taping of the live show. While Irwin performed the move in his dance later that night, it wouldn't go viral until Chmerkovskiy incorporated it into his freestyle with Alix Earle during the finale episode.
"Little did I know this pre-show warmup outtake would suddenly become very current. ? Val, you are the kneewalk GOAT ?? ," Irwin captioned his post, which was set to Chmerkovskiy and Earle's freestyle song "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado.

Since winning DWTS, Irwin has returned to Australia to continue his family's conservation work at the Australia Zoo.
On Dec. 2, the 22-year-old wildlife conservationist took to Instagram to announce his next project — working at the Australia Zoo's Crocodile Hunter Lodge which was established in honor of his late father Steve Irwin.
“It has been quite the passion project that we’ve been working on back home in Australia Zoo,” Robert said of the lodge, which first opened in 2022. “We opened up a beautiful lodge, the Crocodile Hunter Lodge, which has been a way to really properly welcome everybody to our home.”
“The amount of support from everyone in the States lately has just been incredible, and the amount of people who are now heading to the Australia Zoo and coming to visit my home has been really, really cool to see,” he continued.
“Honestly, we wanted to create something so that everybody could have a proper home away from home when you visit us,” he added.
