Norwegian Cruise Line has announced a new all-inclusive package called Free at Sea Plus, which will be available for purchase starting on Thursday, Dec. 18.
The new package is an enhancement on the company's popular Free at Sea promotion, which bundles items like unlimited drinks (up to $15), specialty dining, Wi-Fi, and shore excursion credits ($50 for the first guest). Guests who opt for the Free at Sea Plus will enjoy all of the Free at Sea benefits—and more.
For starters, guests who purchase Free at Sea Plus will be offered upgraded beverage benefits, which will include top-shelf spirits, Starbucks (on applicable ships), energy drinks, juices, and bottle water. Additionally, this package will allow guests to enjoy an unlimited open bar on the company's private island in the Bahamas, Great Stirrup Cay.
NCL recently announced that drinks of the island would no longer be included with the regular drink package, so Free at Sea Plus offers the same flexibility that guests are used to.
Additionally, there will be a dining benefit upgrade. You'll get the specialty dining meals based on the number of nights you cruise plus 50% off the restaurant cover charges for any other nights that you choose to dine in a specialty restaurant.
Next up, guests who pay for Free at Sea Plus will enjoy unlimited streaming high-speed Wi-Fi—a step up from the Free at Sea's 150 minutes per guest.
Lastly, all service charges will be prepaid and included in Free at Sea Plus.
The new promotion will cost $49 per guest, per day, which equals about $700 for two people on a seven night cruise. Free at Sea Plus is available on cruises that embark on or after Feb. 1, 2026.
Fans have been reacting to the new promotion of social media sites like Facebook. Overall, the feedback has been mixed.
"Doesn’t seem likes it’s worth an additional $50 a day per person to me," one person wrote on Facebook about the new offerings.
"For the Starbucks it’s worth it to some people. I don’t care for it. But getting the premium drinks; is really nice not having to pay the up charge of a few dollars," someone else said.
