For just over two months now, Disneyland Paris has been working on refurbishments for its popular ride, Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. Set to open back up in the Spring of 2026, Disney Imagineers are hard at work transforming this family-favorite attraction into something even more immersive than ever before.
As one of the few Disney movies set in Paris, taking a trip on this ride in the actual city of lights is a bucket-list item for many Disney fans.
The ride takes you away in a four-seated car that looks like an adorable rat. With tracks that swivel the car in any and every direction, and 3-D glasses strapped on, you’re taken through Paris from a small rat's perspective.

Following Remy himself, you get to go on a wild chase through Gusteau’s restaurant dodging Chef Skinner as well as other obstacles, and ultimately you end up in Remy’s own restaurant where he serves ratatouille to the other rats. The ride is a 4-D experience, with screens and effects that bring you right into the world of Ratatouille.
Now, what could Disneyland Paris possibly be adding to this ride to make it more of a special experience? Well, for starters, the queue line is being completely redone.
It will now take guests through an artist’s studio in Paris, filled with canvases on the walls and paint splatters galore. Disney is famous for immersing its guests into the world of each attraction before they even set foot on the ride, and this new queue for Ratatouille will bring something fresh and exciting to the experience.
The ride has been operating since 2014, and it hasn’t had a refurbishment of this level since. Inside the ride itself, the projectors and video content are getting a major enhancement, thanks to technology that is constantly evolving and improving.
Along with the technical aspects, there will also be updated props and set pieces that are meant to intensify the feeling of being a small rat in the city of Paris. Now, 3D glasses won’t be required, as the media content will now be projected in 2D–which will lend itself to a crisper, more modernized version of the ride.
