National treasure Dolly Parton is taking her music back on the road in a bold new way. The country icon has announced a new 2026 tour experience, expanding her acclaimed multimedia symphonic project Threads: My Songs in Symphony to 12 U.S. cities with 27 performances scheduled throughout the year.
While Parton does not physically tour with the production, the show brings her music, voice and life story to audiences nationwide through a fully immersive concert experience that blends orchestral arrangements, visual storytelling and on-screen narration from the legend herself.

First unveiled in 2025, Threads: My Songs in Symphony debuted to sold-out crowds with the Grammy Award–winning Nashville Symphony before expanding to major orchestras across the country. The 2026 season builds on that success, deepening the project’s scope and reach.
Developed in partnership with Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing, the concert experience features orchestral arrangements by David Hamilton, immersive visuals by Adam Grannick and a narrative structure that traces Parton’s songs, life and stories in chronological “threads.”
Through newly orchestrated versions of her catalog, audiences are guided by Parton’s on-screen presence as she reflects on her career, creativity and the moments that shaped her legendary songwriting.

The announcement comes during a period when Parton has publicly acknowledged the need to slow down. The 79-year-old icon recently postponed sold-out Las Vegas concerts and shared that her doctors had ordered “a few procedures,” calling it her “100,000-mile check-up.”
Rather than stepping away creatively, Parton has continued to release new projects, including a new children’s book, Billy the Kid Dances His Heart Out, and a companion song, “Bella,” further underscoring her ability to adapt and evolve while honoring her health.
