Nick Reiner has officially hired a defense attorney.
According to TMZ, Alan Jackson is representing Nick after he was charged with murdering his parents Rob and Michele Reiner. Jackson was pictured at a Los Angeles courthouse on Tuesday, Dec. 16 for legal proceedings related to Nick's case.
Nick was not present at the courthouse, as Jackson claimed he was not medically cleared to attend.

Who is Alan Jackson?
Jackson is a criminal defense attorney known for taking on high-profile cases. Earlier this year, he made headlines after representing Karen Read, a Massachusetts woman who was acquitted of murder after being accused of killing her boyfriend — a police officer — in a hit-and-run.
In 2022, Jackson represented disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein during his rape trial. He ultimately lost the case, as the jury returned guilty verdicts against Weinstein. In February 2023, Weinstein was sentenced to 16 years in prison.
During the trial, Jackson came under fire for seemingly mocking a Jane Doe who testified against his client during cross-examination.
"I'm just going to take my jacket off," he reportedly said while demonstrating how Weinstein might have started to undress before showering in front of the witness. "I'm not going to go any further — don't be scared."
Jackson also represented Kevin Spacey in a 2019 sexual assault case after the actor faced charges of indecent assault and battery from a man who claimed Spacey groped him at a bar. However, the charges were dropped after the alleged victim invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.
Jackson's career began at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where he served as Assistant Head Deputy of the Major Crimes Division for nearly 20 years. In 2013, he transitioned to private practice, joining Palmer, Lombardi & Donohue LLP as a partner.
Currently, he is a partner at Werksman Jackson & Quinn LLP and has been recognized as one of California's Top 100 Lawyers, having tried more than 85 cases to jury verdict with a 96% success rate.
Jackson received his Bachelor's degree at the University of Texas at Austin in 1991 before earning a Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994.

According to TMZ, the Reiners were found deceased in their home on Dec. 14. People then reported that the couple were allegedly murdered by their son Nick.
The Reiner family issued a statement confirming the deaths on the night of Dec. 14.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” the statement read, according to Variety.
Reiner first met Singer while filming When Harry Met Sally. The two married in 1989 and later welcomed three children: Jake, 34, Nick, 32, and Romy, 28. Reiner was also the father of daughter Tracy, 61, from a previous marriage.
