Popular TikTok star Tucker Genal died on Thursday, December 11, at age 31.
"I don’t even know where to begin, You were my best friend and an even better big brother, my entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero," Tucker's brother, Carson Genal, shared via Instagram on Monday, December 15. "I know one thing is for certain and that is that I will continue to spend the rest of my life looking up to you until we meet again. You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for."
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Genal took his own life by hanging.
The family asked for privacy "as [they] mourn and begin to navigate life without him."
Genal was popular on the video-sharing app, amassing over two million followers for fun challenge videos often featuring his brothers, Connor and Carson. The brothers also run a joint TikTok page under the handle Hustle House.
Tucker's latest post was shared the same day of his death.

Followers began sharing their condolences in the comments of his post, with one fan writing, "This is so sad. You can see the life left his eyes in October, November, and December."

Prior to going viral on social media, Genal received his degree in business administration from Furman University, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He was a wide receiver on the school's football team after transferring from the University of South Carolina in 2014.
