Auburn has added to its 2026 recruiting class.
On Monday, Alex Golesh landed a commitment from an offensive lineman looking for a new home after initially signing with Michigan. Bear McWhorter has now pledged to play on The Plains.

On the 247Sports Composite, McWhorter is rated 3-stars, the No. 40 interior offensive lineman, No. 53 player in the state of Georgia and No. 514 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.
McWhorter’s recruitment had not been active for months. On Feb. 28, he announced his verbal commitment to Michigan. He did not receive any more scholarship offers or take other visits before signing with the Wolverines on Dec. 3. With Sherrone Moore’s recent firing, however, McWhorter was granted a release from his National Letter of Intent.
