Dick Van Dyke may be 100 years old, but he's still moving fans with his performances.
The actor and comedian celebrated his milestone birthday on Saturday, Dec. 13 with a party at his home in Malibu, Calif. There, his wife Arlene Silver led a flash mob dancing to a medley of her husband's songs.
"It went so perfect — just everything," Silver told People of the celebration. "And he was so happy. His face, I love to make him have that face."
However, Van Dyke didn't just enjoy the party — he performed for his guests too.
In a video posted to Reddit, the legendary entertainer serenaded his family and friends with the song "Let's Go Fly a Kite" from his 1964 musical film Mary Poppins. Several of his guests also took the mic, leading to a heartwarming moment fans couldn't help but get emotional over.
"My heart needed this today," wrote one fan, seemingly referencing the slew of unfortunate news over the weekend. "Today's an absolute whirlwind, and yet to bring us back we have this moment. Bless you, Mr. Van Dyke." commented another.
"Yesterday was a big struggle for me mentally and physically. Glad to still have a bit of wholesomeness in the world to pull me back, even if only for a moment," added a third. "Thank you more making this day better for me." said a fourth.
In Mary Poppins, Van Dyke played two roles: Bert, a cockney jack-of-all-trades and Mary Poppins' (Julie Andrews) closest friend; and bank chairman Mr. Dawes Senior.
Right before his birthday, Van Dyke opened up to People about what surprised him the most about turning 100.
“The fact that I made it," he said.
“I feel really good for 100,” Van Dyke continued. "Sometimes I have more energy than others — but I never wake up in a bad mood.”
