Rita Wilson is sharing a heartfelt tribute to Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, after the couple was found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home.
In a Dec. 15 Instagram post, the wife of Tom Hanksopened up about her longtime friendship with the Reiners, admitting that she's heartbroken over the tragic situation.
"Rob and Michele Reiner are two people who really did make the world a better place. This is truth," she opened the caption of the social media upload, adding the ealry story of their relationship. "We have been friends since our kids were toddlers attending the same preschool."
"It’s impossible to reconcile the tragedy of their deaths with the beauty they offered the world," the Sleepless in Seattle actress continued.
Wilson went on to share details about the duo's careers, noting that "Michele was an enormously talented photographer whose eye applied not only to what she captured on film but also to her own personal esthetic [sic]. Her work as a producer focused on social justice and creating awareness of our world. She was wry, funny, opinionated but also reasonable and self reflective." She was so close to her sister and her family understanding the importance of close connection."
