Nick Reiner is a person of interest in the gruesome murder of his parents, director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.
Rob and Michele were found dead inside their Los Angeles home on Sunday, Dec. 14. TMZ reports that Rob and Michele were found with their throats slit. Police say Nick, 32, is now being questioned in connection with the murders, according to People magazine. So far, no arrests have been in the case.
Just three months before the tragedy, Nick appeared alongside his family at the Spinal Tap 2 premiere in Los Angeles. In photos from the red carpet, Rob and Michele were pictured with their kids, Romy Reiner, Nick, and Jake Reiner. Missing from the pictures is Reiner’s daughter Tracy, whom he shares with late ex-wife Penny Marshall.
In the photos, Nick is the only one not smiling.
