The Fray turned an uncomfortable incident into a memorable experience during their major concert in the Philippines for their 20th anniversary.
The three-piece band featuring lead vocals by Joe King, Jeremy McCoy and Dan Lavery treated fans to pure bliss and nostalgia as they serenaded the crowd with their classic hits “How to Save a Life,” “She Is All at Once,” “Look After You,” “My Heart's a Crowded Room” and ended the setlist with “Never Say Never” as a sweet send-off. The band also covered The Cranberries’ song “Dreams.”
As The Fray continued their How to Save a Life: 20th Anniversary Tour, they left everyone in awe, prompting one male fan to pour his heart out as he vibed with the performance.

However, seconds later, he was approached by a staff member and asked to sit down. King noticed the incident and addressed it quickly.
Before performing their next song, the frontman showed how deeply the band values its audience by acknowledging the fan’s genuine emotional connection to the music.
“I would like to dedicate this song cause…” he said, adding, “I can relate in many ways, but there’s been an incredible human being back here vibin’ dancing to our music that have been standing up and you’ve been just free and expressing your emotions and then someone came up and they told him to sit down.”
He apologized and encouraged everyone to dance and sing along.

It’s free to be however you wanna be. It’s not contained and you don't have to sit down, you can stand up, but just be true.”
Lastly, he honored the fan by performing the song in recognition of his heartfelt connection to the music and the band.
“And I wanna dedicate this song to you, my friend back there,” King said, referring to the song “Over My Head.” “I’ve been there. I’ve been the only one standing up. I’ve been the only one feeling like I'm left out, I’m on the outside. That’s what this song is all about.”
After this sweet gesture, the audience stood up and raised their phones, capturing the special moment.
Their anniversary concert tour kicked off in Dallas, Texas in July with multiple stops across the United States, followed by shows in Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and more. Their Manila concert marked The Fray’s only stop in Asia and served as the final show of the tour.
