That night, the Hallmark Channel shared an Instagram clip of the moment, which happened during a question about who was most likely to be the first one to grab cookies from the craft station.
After an audience member said, "Lori," Erin Krakow declared, "I think it would be one of our favorite friends and costars who we are so lucky will be joining us for Season 14. What do you think maybe we should bring her out now?”
Fans exploded with cheers and applause as Loughlin, who played Abigail Stanton in Seasons 1 through 6, walked onto the stage. "Thank you," she told them before taking a seat next to her castmates.

Loughlin replied, “It feels amazing and my girl [Krakow] here has been championing this for a long time. When did I find out, maybe like a month ago, two months ago, and I just want to thank everyone at Hallmark for being so loving and so welcoming… And this just feels incredible.”
She concluded, "I mean you guys all know it, we have such a special cast, and such a special bond and it’s just so nice to be back with my family."

On Dec. 2, the Hallmark Channel announced Loughlin's return to When Calls the Heart.
“Since the series’ debut in 2014, the character of Abigail Stanton was a fan favorite and beloved by the Hearties,” Michelle Vicary, Hallmark Media’s head of programming, told People. “At its core, the Hallmark brand is about hope, positivity, and connection, which is also the central theme of When Calls the Heart. We felt that season 14 was the right time to continue Abigail’s story with her return to this beloved series.”
In 2019, Abigail was written off the show following Loughlin's college admissions scandal, for which she served two months in prison in 2020. Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, reportedly split in October after nearly 30 years of marriage.
When Calls the Heart Season 14 is expected in 2027, while Season 13 premieres in January 2026.
