Freshman Caleb Wilson scored 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds for his seventh double-double in 10 games this season. Wing Jonathan Powell recorded his best game as a Tar Heel, scoring 17 points in 24 minutes off the bench to tie a career high. Luka Bogavac reached double figures for the eighth consecutive game with 15 points.
Saturday’s win improves Carolina to 9-1 overall this season. The Tar Heels will be back in action when they host East Tennessee State at the Smith Center Tuesday night at 8 p.m.
