We all know the magic of fast food: walk in, order your go-to and it's in your hands within minutes. It's quick, convenient and sometimes exactly what the day ordered for you. But there are those moments when you want that same comfort on your own schedule—like when you just don't feel like stepping out. That's where frozen versions of beloved fast-food items in the grocery aisle become absolute lifesavers.
Unfortunately, one of those very frozen food aisle snacks is currently under recall, and it's important to pay attention because of the potential presence of undisclosed allergens that could pose serious health dangers.

On Dec. 12, White Castle's Frozen Food Division announced a recall involving 1,021 cases of their frozen 4-count cartons of Original Sliders. They may contain the undisclosed allergens milk and soy. Instead of the Original Sliders in your carton, you could instead find the brand's Jalapeño Cheese Sliders.
Recalled White Castle 4-Count Carton of Original SlidersWhite Castle
Here’s what happened: during the packaging process, some Jalapeño Cheese Sliders ended up in the wrong box and were mistakenly packaged as the 4-count Original Sliders. Because of that mix-up, milk and soy (both present in the jalapeño cheese version) weren't listed on the label. The issue came to light after a customer reported a non-life-threatening allergic reaction after eating one of the mislabeled sliders. The good news is that no other injuries or illnesses have been reported so far, but it’s a clear reminder of why accurate labeling really matters.

What to Do If You Own the Recalled White Castle Product
Now for the other important stuff—what to check for if you think you have this product in your freezer.
The recalled sliders were shipped to stores between August and October 2025 and were sold mainly in convenience stores, potentially across all 50 states. They're the 4-count White Castle Original Sliders that come in a blue-and-white box with UPC 0-82988-02969-3. Check the lot code printed in a light-blue bar on the end of the carton—only codes 9H203521 and 9H203522 are part of the recall. It has to be the full eight-character code to count. The affected cartons have a Best By date of April 18, 2026, so if everything lines up, it's best not to eat them and follow recall guidance.
If you have the cartons with either of the above lot codes, go ahead and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Anyone with questions can contact White Castle at 1-800-843-2728 (24 hours, Sunday-Saturday).
