ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Applications for all 28 Rochester charter schools are now open for the 2026-27 school year through one free online application.
Of the 28 schools, there are two new ones, Brick Rochester Academy Charter and Green Tech Rochester Elementary Charter for Boys will open in 2026.
Over 9,000 students are now enrolled in Rochester charter schools, with about 30% of the city’s K-12 students.
Charter schools are free public schools that assist students who need extra help in school, have IEPs, and are English language learners.
Families may apply to multiple schools at once.
