Premier League predictions this weekend – Matchweek 16

    Saturday 13th December 2025

Chelsea v Everton (3pm) Not televised

NH: 1-1 draw. UPSET OF THE WEEK Chelsea are wobbling a little at the moment and David Moyes has the tools at Everton to exploit that. Kieran Dewsbury-Hall has a point to prove so expect him to have a say.MP: 2-1 Everton win. UPSET OF THE WEEK. Chelsea and Everton are trending in opposite directions. David Moyes has his team ticking along nicely and Jack Grealish is smiling again, while the Blues are without Liam Delap again and could struggle.

Liverpool v Brighton (3pm) Not televised

NH: 2-1 Liverpool win. Inter needs to be a turning point for Arne Slot and Liverpool, with games set to come thick and fast across the festive period. Brighton are not as convincing away from home and the Reds will edge it – with or without Mo Salah.MP: 2-2 draw. There are very few clear signs to suggest Liverpool are going to bounce back this weekend – with or without Mo Salah. Brighton are full of entertainment, so expect a goal-heavy clash.

Burnley v Fulham (5:30pm) Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Premier League

NH: 2-0 Fulham win. Concern is growing for Burnley, who have shown plenty of fight but lacked the quality to shade close games. Fulham have not looked far off the top teams they’ve faced recently and should get the job done.MP: 1-0 Fulham win. Burnley are in a torrid state. They might have benefitted from three core Fulham players heading to AFCON had this been a week later, but it could be another tough afternoon at Turf Moor.

    Arsenal v Wolves (8pm) TNT Sports 1

NH: 4-0 Arsenal win. Rob Edwards’s bruising start as Wolves boss is set to continue. Given what Man Utd were able to do to them on Monday, this Arsenal team should make light work of the visitors at the Emirates.MP: 3-0 Arsenal win. Three? Four? More? We know the result of this one before a ball has been kicked – the precise scoreline rests on Arsenal's appetite to build their goal difference.

Crystal Palace v Man City (2pm) Sky Sports Premier League

NH: 3-1 Man City win. A big week for Man City should end in three points at Selhurst Park. There’s no denying how impressive Crystal Palace have been this season but Pep Guardiola’s side look to have found that top gear that had been missing.MP: 2-0 Man City win. Suddenly Manchester City look like the best team in the Premier League again. Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki look deadly behind Erling Haaland. Expect a comfortable win here against stuttering Palace.

    Nottingham Forest v Tottenham (2pm) Sky Sports+

NH: 2-0 Tottenham win. The goals have finally started flowing for Thomas Frank at Tottenham and two wins in a week has to be huge for their confidence. Travelling to Nottingham Forest is not easy but that will make the victory all the more pleasing for Frank.MP: 2-1 Nottingham Forest win. I'll admit this prediction is almost solely based on the age-old mantra of Spurs taking two steps forward and three steps back. They've scooped a couple of big wins, so nature is likely to run its course...

Sunderland v Newcastle (2pm) Sky Sports Main Event

NH: 2-2 draw. You get the feeling this could be a special Wear-Tyne derby. Sunderland have been the Premier League’s surprise package while Newcastle will be desperate to show them who the top team in the North East are.MP: 3-2 Sunderland. The Mackems are aiming to make it 10 unbeaten in the Premier League against the Geordies. Expect Sunderland's set-piece prowess, physicality and penchant for a last-gasp winner to come into play in a thriller.

West Ham v Aston Villa (2pm) Sky Sports Cricket

NH: 3-1 Aston Villa win. Nuno Espirito Santo has succeeded in making West Ham a tougher team to beat but there is still progress to be made. They could be found out by an Aston Villa side oozing with confidence.MP: 1-1 draw. Credit goes to Nuno Espírito Santo for toughening up his flimsy rearguard. They won't roll over for Villa, who are coming off an away trip on the continent.

Brentford v Leeds United (4:30pm) Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Premier League

NH: 2-1 Brentford win. Leeds have come raring back of late to rise out of the relegation zone but Brentford know how to get the job done at the Gtech and will do again.MP: 1-1 draw. Leeds have shown they can mix it with the best at Elland Road, but they will sink or swim based on their results away from home against those expected to be around them.

    Monday 15th December 2025

Man Utd v AFC Bournemouth (8pm) Sky Sports Main Event / Sky Sports Premier League

NH: 3-1 Man Utd win. Two years of Bournemouth dominance over Man Utd may end on Monday. The Cherries would’ve fancied this trip a month or so ago but they have really stuttered while their hosts are trending the other way.MP: 2-1 Man Utd win. It does feel like Ruben Amorim is finally coaxing a reasonable tune from his side. With Bruno Fernandes in flying form, they can tackle most teams in the division.
