GoDigital Acquires Marc Anthony Publishing Catalog, Plus $115M Regional Mexican Music Rights Package

GoDigital Music has acquired several Latin music rights catalogs — including masters and publishing — in a transaction valued at approximately $115 million, the company tells Billboard. GoDigital, which did not specify from whom it bought the music, also acquired the publishing catalog of salsa music superstar Marc Anthony. The company declined to provide further details on the Anthony deal, including the cost of the acquisition.

The deal adds more than 30,000 new assets to GoDigital Music’s catalog, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion into culturally resonant music IP, according to a press release. The acquisition was financed by Regions Bank and Corrum Capital.

“It was a very complex deal to structure and close,” Alessandro Fiorotto, who led the transaction as CFO of Cinq Music, a GoDigital Music company, said in a statement. “We’re grateful for the collaboration with all parties involved and delighted to have brought this across the line.”

The deal represents one of the largest Latin music acquisitions of the year. The catalogs are anchored by a flagship collection of Regional Mexican music from the 1980s to 2000s, often referred to as the “CD Era,” spanning genres including ranchera, norteño, banda, corridos and cumbia. With an average age of earnings exceeding 20 years, there are songs from notable artists such as Los Socios del Ritmo, Marisela, 3BallMTY, Tierra Cali and LDNE.

Meanwhile, GoDigital Music unveiled the acquisition of Anthony’s catalog, one of the most influential Latin artists of all time. With classics like “Vivir Mi Vida” and “Ahora Quien” — which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Tropical Airplay charts — the catalog continues to bring in hundreds of millions of streams per month across platforms, demonstrating a legacy of global hits and enduring cultural impact. The eight-figure transaction, which also included catalogs from Saving Abel and Slum Village, “underscores the company’s commitment to investing in culturally significant music IP across genres and generations,” according to the press release.

“Latin music isn’t just growing, it’s the new global soundtrack,” GoDigital Founder Jason Peterson, added. “These catalog acquisitions reinforce GoDigital Music’s commitment to investing in culturally relevant music IP and building platforms that connect artists with audiences across generations and geographies.”
