ASHLAND — Alameda County firefighters were battling a three-alarm blaze Thursday morning, officials said.
The fire erupted about 9:38 a.m. in the 800 block of E. Lewelling Boulevard near Mission Boulevard. It was still burning as of 10:15 a.m.
At least one structure was burning. How the fire started was not immediately known.
It was also not immediately known if anyone was injured.
Dozens of Alameda County Fire Department firefighters were on scene.
They were hampered by at least one downed power line.
Firefighters requested a drone from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office to assist ground units in battling the blaze.
