MACEDON, N.Y. — A 64-year-old is charged with grand larceny after Wayne County sheriff’s deputies say she stole over $43,000 from her mother.
According to deputies, between September 2022 through April 2025, Susan McConnell stole about $43,745 from her mother.
Deputies say McConnell would take her mother’s checks without her mother knowing, then forge her mother’s name and write checks out to herself. They say McConnell would then cash checks, and went on for years without her mother knowing.
McConnell was brought to Wayne County Jail and arraigned.
