After as bad as they looked in the back-to-back blowout losses over the weekend, this was about as good of a response as you could hope for from the Blackhawks. This was a complete, surgical win.
Igor Shesterkin is one of the best goaltenders on the planet, and he kept the Blackhawks off the board about four minutes into the first period with a ridiculous save. He did it again less than three minutes later, this time robbing Connor Bedard. There were a couple other good saves against the ten shots Shesterkin faced in the opening 20 minutes — a period that ended scoreless.
Shesterkin remained very good in the second period. But the Blackhawks beat him three times on excellent effort plays. Unfortunately, only two of the three pucks that went into the net counted. But the Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead to the second intermission. Chicago added the ever-important next goal in the third period.
Star 1: Louis Crevier
Shesterkin was stoning the Blackhawks all night until Crevier did THIS short-handed. What???

Knight was fabulous the entire night, but his two saves against point blank shots from Noah Laba during a third period Rangers power play with the Hawks up 3-0 were huge.

After 40 minutes, Bedard was tied for the team lead with three shots on net. This finish probably felt easy after the gorgeous set-up from André Burakovsky. Bedard picked up an assist on the third goal of the night for another multi-point night.

Tyler Bertuzzi led the Blackhawks with two blocked shots in the first period. He found some loose change in front of Shesterkin right as he came on the ice early in the third period to extend the Blackhawks’ lead to three.GOAL: Tyler Bertuzzi jams in a loose puck in front to extend the lead pic.twitter.com/VmA8W519NC
— BHF (@BlackhawksFocus) December 11, 2025 Ryan Donato appeared to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead at 10:40 into the second period, but Colton Dach moved the puck with his hand. The Rangers asked for a review, and won it. Moments before Bedard’s goal, Frank Nazar made a brilliant play backchecking on Artemi Panarin to break up a potential scoring chance. Nazar was tied with Bedard for the team lead with three shots on net thru two periods. Down to only three right-handed defensemen with Sam Rinzel in Rockford, Connor Murphy saw a might bigger workload tonight and he was really good — especially on the penalty kill.Hence then, the article about blackhawks 3 rangers 0 three stars key takeaways was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
