The sexual assault investigation into Matlock star David Del Rio has reportedly been re-opened at CBS.
According to TMZ, the studio reopened its investigation before Thanksgiving and has allegedly interviewed more parties involved, including Del Rio himself and his attorney Shawn Holley.
Del Rio was fired from the series in October following allegations of sexual assault against his co-star Leah Lewis. At the time, Deadline reported that the alleged incident occurred on Sept. 26 and “triggered immediate action by the series’ producers and CBS Studios.”
The actor was reportedly escorted off the Paramount lot immediately after the allegations were reported.

In Matlock, Lewis stars as first-year associate Sarah Franklin who works alongside Kathy Bates‘s Madeline “Matty” Matlock at the fictional law-firm Jacobson Moore. Del Rio played another first-year associate named Billy Martinez, who was best friends with Franklin in the series.
Matlock has continued filming its second season amid the actor’s sudden exit, but Del Rio’s character will reportedly be written out of the series later on in the season. Lewis confirmed the series was back in production via her Instagram Story on Dec. 1 after a pre-planned hiatus.

TMZ reported that Del Rio denies the allegation, however, he has yet to publicly address the controversy. However, his wife Katherine has.
On her Instagram Story on Oct. 9, Katherine shared a close-up photo of Lewis with the caption, “This is the most disturbing human being I have ever met.”
She later posted a picture with her mother with the caption, “Mom is here. We are moving forward in love and strength after what Leah did to our family. Thank you for all the love and support!”
appeared to be a reference to Lewis’s statement about the alleged incident, which also included a photo of her with her mother and a similar caption.
“Mom is here, we’re moving forward in love and strength. I’m in good hands,” Leah wrote on Instagram after news broke of the incident. “Thank you to everybody for any kind of support and care. Truly, we’re moving forward in strength.”
“Key word, strength,” she added. “Please, let that be the take away."
