The first Chicago Bears injury report of the week is here. And with the Cleveland Browns coming to town after Chicago’s heart-wrenching loss to the Green Bay Packers, I was curious to see how many battered bodies appear on the injury report. Unfortunately, there are some familiar faces

— Bears Communications (@BearsPR) December 10, 2025It is worth pointing out that Chicago’s football team did *NOT* hold a full practice on Wednesday. Instead, the team went through a walkthrough. Therefore, participation on the Wednesday Bears injury report is an estimation. Here is the most important stuff:
Cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin) and running back Travis Homer (ankle) would not have practiced had the team had a full practice on Wednesday. That each player was unavailable for a walk-through feels telling. In case you missed it, Gordon suffered a groin injury during pre-game warmups before the team’s loss to the Packers in Week 14. And it did not sound encouraging when Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson was discussing the status of the squad’s top nickel cornerback. The following players were listed as limited participants on the Wednesday Bears injury report: Wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot), cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (hip), and wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus (hamstring). We can start with the good news of Odunze’s return to practice after missing out all of last week. Yes, I understand that it was in a limited capacity. And I also get that it was a walk-through for the Bears. Nevertheless, the arrow is pointing in the right direction. Phew. In more good news, cornerback Jaylon Johnson (groin) and linebacker Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder) would have been full participants in practice had it actually happened. Even still … a full-go in a walk-through considering the recent injury history is a good sign to me.We will continue to monitor the progress of players on the Bears injury report throughout the week. Stay tuned.
