The Dangerously Obese finale is just around the corner—and Dr. Charles Procter's patient, Bryan Carr, struggled to fit on an airplane after buying two seats at the beginning of his weight loss journey.
Ahead of the Wednesday, Dec. 10 episode of the show, TLC shared an exclusive sneak peek of Bryan's size-related travel predicament.

Although Bryan had hopes of losing weight so he could spend more quality time with his daughter and friends, the clip illustrates how his size and lymphedema in his leg limited his ability to travel.
"I was looking at the train ride, but it's 18 hours. And that's too much sitting," he explained while arriving at an airport to embark on a trip to visit a friend. "So I guess I'm gonna have to go with the two-hour plane ride of discomfort rather than the 18-hour train ride."
"It's embarrassing to be pushed around the airport in a wheelchair," Bryan admitted, after struggling to catch his breath and then sitting down in the chair. "But I'm glad to have it because there's no way I could have made this walk through this airport."

"These arms don't go up?" he asked a flight attendant, who confirmed they did not.
To producers, Bryan explained, "The whole reason I got two seats was so I would have room to prop my leg up and be comfortable. If we can't get this resolved, I'm not gonna make it through this flight."
He then declared, "This ain't gonna work."
