Kiffin, though, reacted to news out of Oxford on Tuesday. He voiced his approval of Pete Golding’s new offensive coordinator, John David Baker.

Baker was Kiffin’s passing game coordinator and tight ends coach and passing game coordinator in 2021. He was given the co-offensive coordinator in 2022 while still coaching tight ends. He maintained both responsibilities for the Rebels in 2023.
The past two season, Baker has been the offensive coordinator at East Carolina. Charlie Weis Jr. was Ole Miss’s offensive coordinator from 2022-25 and is part of Kiffin’s LSU staff. Weis is back with Ole Miss, however, for the College Football Playoff.
