ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our first fast moving clipper exits the area Tuesday night, and our next one is right on its heels. This will bring a light accumulating snow into early Wednesday morning. We will likely see some snow falling during the Wednesday morning commute, but amounts should be an inch or less. There may be some slick spots during the commute, but impacts should be fairly low. Still, give yourselves just a few more minutes in the morning. Temperatures will warm enough to mix in some rain showers with the snow showers by late morning into the afternoon, before changing back to snow showers by late evening.
We’ll then see lake effect snow developing Wednesday night into Thursday, and lasting into early Friday morning. Some areas will see a plowable snow, especially the 104 corridor from Orleans County to Monroe and Wayne County, with the heaviest snow falling in Wayne County. The majority of our snow across the region will fall on Thursday, with the immediate Rochester area likely seeing a couple inches of fresh snow. Everybody turns colder again, with highs back in the 20s and a gusty wind. Some of this snow could potentially impact the roads and commutes on Thursday, so it is a good idea to check back in on News10NBC on air, and right here online for any changes and updates.
