ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The holiday season is here. For some, running through winter wonderlands has become part of seasonal traditions. News10NBC has your guide to holiday-themed races in the Rochester area.

Santa Stampede Fun Run (Sunday, Dec. 14)

    Fleet Feet is once again hosting the Santa Stampede, a run and walk (not a race), to support the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester. It takes place on Sunday, Dec. 14.

    The three-ish mile run starts at 10 a.m. at Fleet Feet at The Culver Road Armory. People will run and walk around the neighborhood, dressed in Santa suits, to spread holiday cheer. You can register here.

    The goal is to collect over $2,000 for the Child Advocacy Center. All participants are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped fleece blanket to donate to the center. Last year, over 200 Santas took part.

    After the Stampede, all runners and walkers will head back to Fleet Feet for holiday cheer. Registration includes a Santa suit. You can pick up your packet at Fleet Feet on Friday, Dec. 12, Saturday, Dec. 14, or before the run.

    Winter Wonderland Run (Saturday, Dec. 20)

    Roc Holiday Village is hosting its second annual Winter Wonderland Run 5K. The race kicks off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20. It starts and finishes on Chestnut Street between Woodbury Boulevard and Court Street.

    Reindeer Run (Sunday, Dec. 21)

    The annual Reindeer Run 5K and kids’ half-mile race returns to downtown Rochester on Sunday, Dec. 21. It starts and ends at the Blue Cross Arena. The 5K begins at 8:30 a.m. and the kids’ race begins at 9:20 a.m.

    The race will go through Exchange Street, the Ford Street Bridge, Wilson Boulevard, and more. You can register and see a course map here. Race awards will be inside the Blue Cross Arena at 9:45 a.m

    You can pick up your race packet at Fleet Feet at the Culver Road Armory on Friday, Dec. 19, Saturday, Dec. 20, or race day at the Blue Cross Arena. The first 400 people to pick up their packets will get antlers.

    Winter Warrior Half Marathon (Saturday, Jan. 3)

    The annual Winter Warrior half-marathon, quarter-marathon, and relay marathon are all taking place on Saturday, Jan. 3. They start at 10 a.m. at the gymnasium area of the Monroe Community College Brighton campus.

    The half-marathon is a course with four loops with a common start and finish. The quarter-marathon is two loops. You can learn more and register here. You can pick up your race packet on Friday, Jan. 2, at Fleet Feet at the Culver Road Armory or at MCC on race day from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m.
