LSU superstar-turned-influencer Olivia “Livvy” Dunne is still trying to believe what just happened: she’s officially a Maxim cover girl.
Dunne’s reaction came after Maxim released her newest photoshoot, one of her flashiest yet. It also comes during a turning point in her life. The former NCAA champion officially retired from gymnastics earlier this year after injuries shortened her final season.
But Dunne hasn’t slowed down. Instead, she’s started a new chapter as a model, brand ambassador, and actress-in-training. She recently called herself “a former athlete and, honestly, right now, a model”, a shift that her new magazine cover seems to confirm.

The 23-year-old posted the big moment on her Instagram Story, sharing a picture of the magazine.
“Somebody pinch me!!!” Dunne wrote.
In another slide, Dunne looked stunned during what seemed to be a video call as she saw the cover for the first time. Her mouth dropped open, and she simply captioned it, “Seeing the magazine for the first time.”

In her Maxim interview, Dunne talked openly about how much she enjoys life in front of cameras.
“I love the red carpet. I love the glitz and glam of it,” she said, even comparing her comfort in the spotlight to Taylor Swift.
She also recently moved to New York City, settling into a $2 million apartment near the West Village; a big change, but one she says fits her busy 20s lifestyle.
Being on the cover of Maxim isn’t Dunne’s only major career moment this week. She also made the 2025 Topps Allen & Ginter trading card set, joining a list of non-baseball stars featured in their collectible lineup. She now has base, mini and autograph cards, adding a new chapter to her expanding brand.

— Topps (@Topps) December 4, 2025Dunne’s rise is also supported by her huge social media following, over 7.9 million on TikTok and 5.3 million on Instagram, which has allowed her to partner with major brands and launch The Livvy Fund, helping female athletes navigate NIL opportunities.
While Dunne’s Maxim debut dominated headlines, she and boyfriend Paul Skenes, the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Cy Young-winning pitcher, recently opened up about another powerful experience: completing a USO Tour together.
During their trip, Dunne said the chance to meet service members gave her a new understanding of purpose.
“They are doing incredible things overseas that not everybody gets to see,” she told PEOPLE, explaining how talking with them changed the way she views her own career.
Dunnes’ cover-girl celebration may have been short and simple, but the message was clear: she is stepping into a new spotlight, and she knows this moment is big.
