Cooper reportedly inked a new deal with CNN "in recent weeks" that will see him continuing to anchor the primetime cable news network for the foreseeable future, the outlet reported.
Rumors began swirling earlier this year that the longtime anchor was toying with the idea of leaving his post as he switched management agencies, leaving United Talent Agency for Creative Artists Agency.
In October, Puck reported that CBS's Bari Weiss had "expressed interest in bringing Anderson Cooper to CBS News full-time, potentially for the Evening News role."
In addition to his nightly news show, Anderson Cooper 360°, Cooper hosts The Whole Story—a weekend program specializing in long-form reporting—the "All There Is" podcast, CNN's New Year's Eve special from Times Square, as well as live election coverage. Cooper also hosts CBS’s 60 Minutes.
Cooper joined CNN in 2001 as an anchor alongside Paula Zahn on American Morning.

Cooper's news comes the same day that late-night host Jimmy Kimmel renewed his contract with ABC after previously being pulled from the air after controversial comments about right-wing activist Charlie Kirk's death in September.
