ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Knighthawks are gearing up to start their 2025-2026 season, and there is plenty of excitement surrounding the team.
The Knighthawks have 18 returning players, including reigning league MVP Conner Fields. This season marks the first under the ownership of the Seneca Nation.

Head Coach Mike Hasen, who has been with the team since 1999, said the new ownership has been a positive change.
“It’s a group that cares about the Knighthawks as opposed to a group that had the Knighthawks,” Hasen said. “And I think that empowers us. It makes us feel really good that we’re wanted and we’re cared about. And hopefully that translates to what’s on the floor and what’s going to be in the seats.”
The Knighthawks will begin their season on Sunday in San Diego. Their home opener is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20.
