Ariana Grande is giving major love to one of Hollywood's most celebrated stars.
It was announced on Monday morning that Grande was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance as Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked: For Good, marking the second time she was nominated for the award for this character.

The 32-year-old artist spoke with The Hollywood Reporter on Monday morning about her nomination, as well as how emotional it was to film the Wicked movies and what she has planned next. Grande also talked about how grateful she feels to have met so many actors she respects over the past year, thanks to her role. The "thank u, next" singer specifically spoke warmly about Kate Winslet, whom she named her "favorite actress."
"I remember meeting Kate Winslet was one of the most exciting things in the world. She was just so kind and warm and just had the most amazing, encouraging words to share, " Grande shared. "And it’s moments like that that I think people don’t get to know about or see, really, that are so special, that I’ll always cherish and take with me. I hope to see some of the friends that I made."
The two were spotted speaking to each other at the Golden Globe Awards back in January. At the time, Winslet was nominated for two awards: Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama Movie for Lee and Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series for The Regime.

The holiday family drama will also premiere in the United Kingdom and select theaters in the United States on Friday.
Meanwhile, Grande began her career in theater long before she became a global pop star. As a child, she performed in local productions in Florida and went on to appear in the Broadway musical 13 in 2008, where she played the role of Charlotte. Her breakout came in 2010 when she was cast as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's Victorious. Though she eventually shifted her focus toward music in 2013, her early acting work helped shape the performer she is today and showcased her multidimensional talent from the start. Over the past couple of years, Grande started acting again and is set to star in Focker-in-Law, the upcoming Meet the Parents sequel coming out on November 25, 2026, playing Olivia Jones, the fiancée of Ben Stiller's character's son, Henry (Skyler Gisondo).
The Golden Globes will take place on January 11, 2026, at 8 pm ET, and will be aired on CBS and Paramount+.
