Word’s spreading that a sealed box full of lost demos from White Zombie was discovered recently during a renovation at the now-defunct Los Angeles Chop Shop Studios. According to a technician who found the tapes, identified only as “Mark D,” the material dates back to the early ’90s, and no one outside that studio seems to have heard it, until now.
Apparently, the cassette box was hidden inside a taped-over electrical access panel. When it was pried open, it revealed six cassette tapes labeled with song names no one’s ever seen before. Titles like “Blood on the Circuit Board,” “Vampire Radio Transmission,” “Drag the Moon to Hell,” and “Static Body Electric.” These aren’t alternate takes of known songs, they’re supposedly full, finished tracks, some with vocals, some instrumentals, firmly rooted in the early White Zombie sound. The finder even claims the riffs, samples, and bass were “heavier than anything on Astro Creep: 2000.”
Naturally, fans online erupted. On a thread discussing the discovery, one fan wrote: “If this is real, it’s like finding a lost chapter of a book we thought was finished.” Another chimed in: “I need to believe this will see the light of day, even as a leak.”

For longtime fans of White Zombie, the moment has an exciting edge. The band’s early years were supposedly already painstakingly collected in the 2016 box set "It Came From N.Y.C.," which archived all of their 1985–1989 releases, complete with an exhaustive booklet of photos, flyers, and liner notes.
