Dr. Squatch, the popular men's personal care brand best known for their collaborations with numerous iconic franchises, has officially unveiled their latest collaboration with Netflix's Stranger Things.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the fan-favorite soap brand is set to release four new limited-edition soap scents based on the groundbreaking Stranger Things series.
Based on many of the series' most beloved characters, these four new scents mark yet another standout collaboration between Dr. Squatch and a notable pop culture franchise, coming hot off the heels of previous partnerships with The Nightmare Before Christmas and theHarry Potterseries.
As part of the new collab, Stranger Things star Brett Gelman eve reprised his role as the series' breakout character Murray Bauman, hyping up the new product line's release in the weeks leading up to Volume 2 of Stranger Things' highly anticipated fifth season.
“The Murray Bauman character is chaotic with a level of truth-seeking humor, which was the perfect way to dramatize the message we’ve been championing for years,” said John Ludeke, senior vice president of global marketing at Dr. Squatch, of the new product campaign.
“Brett brought the same skepticism and curiosity we want guys to bring to their routines and the ingredients they’re putting on their skin," Ludeke continued. "It’s a great reminder that what you use to get clean should actually be clean.”
As enjoyable as the ad campaign is already proving to be, it's worth pointing just how memorably great Dr. Squatch's new product lineup is on their own. Above all else, the limited-time collab includes the following scents:
Vecna's Curse: Inspired by Stranger Things' main antagonist, a pumice- and coconut oil-infused soap with hints of vanilla, juniper and blood orange.Squawk Signal: Coyly referencing the radio show hosted by Maya Hawke's Robin, a pumice- and coconut oil-based soap that's equal parts lavender and cherry soda.Experiment No. 011: A rainbow-hued soap inspired by Millie Bobby Brown's psychic protagonist.Hellfire & Beyond: A musky soap perfect for your next game of Dungeons and Dragons. All soaps are currently sold at Target or through Dr. Squatch's official website.
