Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' mother, Janice Combs, has officially responded to the accusations presented in Netflix's unsettling new documentary,Sean Combs: The Reckoning.
Reacting to the jaw-dropping limited series, Combs' mother specifically said that the Netflix series was filled with "lies" and "inaccuracies" meant to further damage the Combs family's reputation.
"I am writing this statement to correct some of the lies presented in the Netflix, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, released on December 2, 2025,” Janice said in a statement to Deadline.
“These inaccuracies regarding my son Sean’s upbringing and family life is intentionally done to mislead viewers and further harm our reputation,” Combs' mother continued by saying.
In particular, Janice claimed that the documentary (produced by Combs' recurring rival, 50 Cent) altogether fabricated and made up various incidents to paint a false portrait around Sean Combs, including an episode where Combs allegedly struck his mother out of anger.
“The allegations stated by Mr. Kirk Burrows that my son slapped me while we were conversing after the tragic City College events on December 28, 1991, are inaccurate and patently false,” Janice responded.
In her statement, Janice formally alludes to an NYC event that ended with the death of nine people and the injuring of almost 30 other event attendees.
“For him to use this tragedy and incorporate fake narratives to further his prior failed and current attempt to gain what was never his, Bad Boy Records is wrong, outrageous and past offensive,” Janice bluntly assessed.
Following his highly publicized courtroom battle, the 56-year-old rapper is currently serving a four-year sentence in Fort Dix DCI in New Jersey for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
