The highly-anticipated limited series, Little Disasters—starring Diane Kruger—is heading exclusively to Paramount+ on Thursday, December 11. The story begins when Jess (played by Kruger) rushes her baby daughter to the hospital with a severe head injury she can't explain. The on-duty ER doctor—Dr. Liz Burgess—is also Jess' close friend—and must decide whether to notify social services of possible abuse. Ultimately, Liz's choice sets off a chain of events that shatters their longtime friend group.

Will there be a Season 2 of Little Disasters?

As of right now, no information has been released regarding a second season. However, because it is a limited series, it was produced to be a standalone show. Additionally, there is no sequel to the novel it's based on. With that being said, that doesn't mean a second season is completely out of the realm of possibility.

The Little Disasters showrunners kept the series very close to the events that unfolded in the book. “I think it’s loyal to the essence of Sarah’s book,” Kruger told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a loose adaptation, but [Sarah] was very present on set and in the process of making this. People who don’t know the book will be taken on a journey that is really quite wild, a slow-burn, but as the episodes unfold, it accelerates in a way that leaves you breathless.”
