The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond has been creating plenty of holiday magic at home, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to a “mistake” or two.
Drummond gave fans a glimpse of her family’s massive Christmas tree, which takes center stage in the living area of their Pawhuska, Oklahoma home. The towering fir stands proudly next to the staircase.
However, the Food Network star admits to navigating a major holiday "mistake" while decorating. She revealed her blunder in the post's caption.
"My biggest mistake was starting. Thank God for college football! It got me through," she wrote.

On Instagram, her followers shared their own thoughts on the massive undertaking. Many praised her dedication, while others marveled at the sheer size of the tree.
"Do you add ornaments?" wrote one follower. Drummond replied, "Yes, I will add ornaments once I emotionally heal from the lights."
A second fan penned, "You did this yourself?? It’s gorgeous and very, very well done!!" A third asked, "How many hours (did it take)?" She replied, "I think it was between 6 and 7 hours, all in!" Drummond's daughter Paige Drummond Andersen replied, "Omg!!! It’s amazing."
Just days earlier, Drummond shared a video showing the massive undertaking of stringing lights on the tree. The footage was filmed a year earlier.

Typically, the Food Network chef waits until after Thanksgiving to put up holiday decorations, reports The Pioneer Woman website. During a livestream with daughter Paige, she learned that her second child had already put up her tree, way ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Her reason? "That way when I come up here [to Drummond Ranch] for Thanksgiving, and then I go back, it's set up and ready to go!"
The Pioneer Woman star usually hosts Christmas celebrations at her home each year. She and husband Ladd Drummond have four children, Alex Drummond Scott, Paige, Bryce Drummond and Todd Drummond. They also have a foster son, Jamar.
