The Netherlands will provide Ukraine with a further $815 million (€700 million) in military assistance in the first three months of next year, the Dutch government said today.
The Dutch had pledged €3.5 billion euros in support for next year, but part of that money has already been spent this year.
Last week, the Netherlands said it would contribute another €250 million euros to Ukraine’s air-defense capabilities.
Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said the funds would be used to purchase American-made weapons and F-16 munitions through the US Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), a program that allows countries to supply urgently needed military equipment directly from U.S. stockpiles.
For context: The Netherlands announcement of further support comes as Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky prepares to meet with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, as we’ve reported.
