Former Geneva assistant principal accused of unwanted contact with student due in court

GENEVA, N.Y. — The former Geneva High School assistant principal accused of having “inappropriate and unwanted physical contact” with a student is due in court on Monday morning.

James Junior Nunez, 50, is set to appear before a Geneva City Court judge. He’s charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment and has since resigned from his role.

    News10NBC has obtained charging documents in the case. They allege that Nunez went up to a student, put his arm around the boy’s head, similar to a headlock, and kissed him in the area of his cheek or neck. The Geneva Police Department says it happened at the high school on Tuesday, Nov. 18. News10NBC spoke to a parent who alleged that Nunez “put his lips on my son” at the school.
