On December 6, Erin took to her Instagram account to celebrate the week she fell in love with Ben, the father of her two children, Helen, 7, and Mae, 4, 21 years ago. featured two photos of Erin when she was a student at Jones County Junior College, where she met Ben.
In the caption of the post, Erin shared that she had romantic feelings for her now-husband before befriending him.
"The day before I actually knew Ben Napier was December 6, 2004. I had loved him for a long time, but he didn’t know that," wrote Erin in the post's caption. "Freshman year I watched him eat with the person sitting alone in the student union. I watched him with his arm around pretty girls, always the president of the club or leading the student section’s cheering. He was huge. The way he lived his life, a human party. All 6’6” of him."
She then shared that she treated him with indifference because she wanted to hide her true feelings.
"The few times we’d spoken, I fumbled it by not knowing how to say 'hello' without giving myself away, without telling him I’d like to marry him and have his babies. You can’t say things like that to an acquaintance. So instead I went with cool indifference the few times he tried to be kind to me," continued Erin.
She also shared that Ben told her less than a week after their first real conversation that he wanted to be her husband.
"On December 6, 2004 I didn’t know that in 7 days he would tell me he loved me, and that he wanted to marry me. *it’s love week*," concluded the interior designer.

"For year and a half I admired this girl from afar because she carried herself very differently than the rest of the girls at the school. She had this short pixie style haircut and she wore loose fitting jeans and tight T-shirts," said Ben during the interview.

"Six days later I told her that I was in love with her," chimed in Ben.
Erin also told People that she and her husband "revisit the week that [they] met" every year.
"It's a super important part of keeping our marriage happy I think," stated Erin.
