Former prime minister Liz Truss declared on her new talk show on Friday night that it will be the “home of the counter-revolution”.
The purpose of weekly The Liz Truss Show on Youtube, is not to entertain but to “lift the lid” on the “fall of Britain” by telling viewers “exactly how bad it is” and how the “deep state” has led to its downfall.
Truss spent a record-breaking 45 days as prime minister after a chaotic term in 2022 where she was removed as leader by her party. She lost her seat to Labour in the last general election. Since then, she has spoken at rallies in the US promoting the MAGA movement.
On her show, she was joined by Matt Goodwin, a conservative commentator; Alex Phillips, former Brexit Party MEP; and podcaster Peter McCormack to dissect the “fall” of Great Britain.
The former Conservative MP for South West Norfolk promises to look to the Trump “revolution” for inspiration, and she’ll be interviewing “leading lights of the MAGA movement” to get the UK out of its alleged hole.

Britain is ‘broken’ and a ‘governing elite who hate our country’ are behind it
The UK economy is in “meltdown”, Truss lamented, and we’re now more poor than Mississippi and people are having to pull their own teeth out. Small businesses are “dying” and industrial towns are being ruined by “eco zealots”.
She thinks the fault is an unpatriotic governing elite on the left, including the BBC, who “lie” about Donald Trump.
She said: “It’s not just the dismal Labour Party and the charisma-free zone that is Keir Starmer. It’s the Conservatives in name only who wanted to be the heirs to Blair.
“It’s the Communist Greens Zack Polanski who is the British answer to New York Mayor Mamdani, without the American teeth.
“It’s the bureaucrats who’ve been captured by the left and the judiciary who are a self-perpetuating oligarchy. This deep state has amassed more and more power.
“It’s the BBC and the mainstream media and their captured regulator.”
Truss was ‘sabotaged by the Bank of England and the rest of the deep state’
This isn’t the first time Truss has blamed her failed premiership on the Bank of England.
The mini-Budget she announced with then chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng in September 2022 set out a huge borrowing spree to cover £45bn unfunded tax cuts which caused a markets to spiral.
The Bank of England was forced to intervene to prevent pension funds from collapsing. She had said the fault lay with the bank because she “wasn’t at the helm of the ship”.
She said on her YouTube series: “My big fear having spent 10 years doing battle with the civil service ultimately as prime minister being sabotaged by the Bank of England, the rest of the deep state, is I know how powerful these left-wing institutions are in Britain. They’re more powerful in the US.
“Currently the prime minister is not able to appoint the senior civil servants they’re not able to appoint uh the governor of the Bank of England apart from once every eight years… This is a massive system problem.”

Truss claimed overreaching powers of the criminal justice system means you can be arrested “anytime, any place, anywhere” for expressing your views.
She said: “People are in despair, but they’re not even allowed to talk about it. If you speak out against the Islamists or the transgender ideologues, you could be arrested anytime, any place, anywhere.
“Heathrow Airport, your house, the office. The nation that invented free speech, and it was in 1695 that the free press was established, is now the home of state censorship.”
