STOCKTON — The ATF has added its pledge to an ever-increasing reward being offered to anyone who can help authorities charge those responsible for shooting up a child’s birthday party last week, killing three kids and one adult, and wounding 13 others.
A $25,000 pledge from the ATF, along with a $55,000 pledge from Stockton Crime Stoppers, $50,000 from the FBI, and $5,000 from the Youth Peace and Justice Foundation has brought the total reward money to $130,000. The ATF announced its pledge Friday as federal and state authorities continue the investigation into the still-unsolved Nov. 29 massacre.
Authorities have said the shooting may be the result of gang violence, and that a suspected gang member — a 22-year-old present for the party — was arrested on a parole violation this week. Police are not calling him a suspect in the shooting, according to media reports.
The victims, Susano Archuleta, 21, Amari Peterson, 14, Maya Lupian, and Journey Reotutar Guerrero, both 8, were shot and killed during a party at an even center on the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue in Stockton.
