Chicago sits at 9–3, holding the NFC’s top seed, which means the draft board looks very different this year.
For the first time in a long time, Bears fans aren’t spending December obsessing over draft order calculators. Chicago enters Week 14 at 9–3 with the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which means their interest in the 2026 NFL Draft is… selective. Focused. Narrow.
The Bears hold one first-round pick (their own), and at this moment, it projects at 31st overall.
That means we’re no longer talking about blue-chip cornerstones or top-10 quarterback debates. Instead, we’re looking at the types of players contenders target late in the first round: impact role players, long-term succession plans, high-ceiling athletes, and premium-position depth.
Here are the prospects Bears fans should keep an eye on this weekend with that reality in mind.

LT Overton — EDGE, Alabama
Opponent: SEC Championship vs. Georgia — Saturday
Overton is a former 5-star talent with plus athleticism and length who has flashed disruptive potential in Alabama’s rotation. He’s still early in his development, but the traits are exactly what Chicago will be looking for in a future Montez Sweat partner — twitch, burst, and frame to grow into a full-time NFL EDGE.

Opponent: SEC Championship vs. Alabama — Saturday
Allen is already one of the smartest, most instinctive linebackers in the SEC. While LB isn’t at the top of Chicago’s priority list, Allen is the type of defensive centerpiece who reshapes draft boards. His range, angles, and processing are already NFL-caliber. While linebacker isn’t necessarily a pressing need for Chicago, if this front office is picking in the tail end of the first round, then General Manager Ryan Poles might have to take the best available player when he is on the clock — and it might be this linebacker.

Austin Siereveld — OT, Ohio State
Opponent: Big Ten Championship vs. Indiana – Saturday
Siereveld is exactly the type of offensive lineman who becomes a Day 2 riser: massive, strong, and still early in his development. He carries his weight easily, moves well for a big man, and shows real finishing ability in the run game. A true left tackle with excellent marks at PFF, Siereveld has allowed no sacks, one QB hit, and eight pressures this season.
Christen Miller — DI, Georgia
Opponent: SEC Championship vs. Alabama – Saturday
Miller is a violent, explosive interior disruptor who has flashed all season in limited snaps. He plays with excellent leverage, gets off the ball quickly, and has strong pass-rush potential from multiple alignments. Georgia’s rotation limits his stat line, but the traits jump out on film.
Carter Smith — OT, Indiana
Opponent: Big Ten Championship vs. Ohio State – Saturday
Smith is one of the more underrated 2026 tackle prospects, with a great combo of length, foot quickness, and pass-set consistency. Indiana’s offense doesn’t always showcase him, but scouts love him. He’s a smooth mover who can mirror speed, redirect inside, and shows left-tackle-caliber traits. Smith is another true left tackle who has had a dominant season, allowing zero sacks, zero quarterback hits, and five pressures this season for the Hoosiers.
